The village of Adamsdale is what was originally named Lanesville after Daniel Lane who owned 52 acres of farm land at this location, and was located in Attleboro. In 1875 the village was renamed to Adamsdale in honor of John Francis Adams. Adamsdale became part of North Attleboro, on Nov 1, 1887, when the town of North Attleboro was incorporated from Attleboro.
