History of the
Cushman Union Church

Congratulations to the Cushman Union Church for celebrating its 125th Anniversary.

PLEASE NOTE:
The Cushman Union Church now has its own website, and the content of this webpage will eventually migrate over to the new site. The new site was just established and for now contains just a single static page with most basic information, and a link to the Sun Chronicle article about the opening of the time capsule that took place on December 14, 2008.

The founders of the Cushman Union Church include, but may not be limited to George Cushman, Robert Cushman, Ansel Nickerson, S. T. Malery and J.H. Philips. The structure itself was erected in 1883. The Church was organized November 24, 1899 by the following charter members: Mr. Henry Guild, Mr. Jerry L. Wightman, Mrs. J. L. Wightman, Mr. George V. Proal, Miss Frances Firth, Mrs. Rosa Tarbox, and Mr. Fred Angel.
